If you connect your network for the first time, you can easily do this by using SSID and because of this hackers are able to connect to your network. To avoid this you should consult users manual to find out ways to give a unique name to your SSID and how to stop its broadcast. * You can implement a technique called Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP). This particular technology is used to encrypt the traffic on the wireless network. By default this feature is not enabled and data is transferred in the form of plane text. You have to enable it after network establishment which is very easy. * You can ensure security within your wireless network through MAC address filter. All computers have a unique MAC address and you can set those MAC addresses to which you want to permit access to the wireless network.
